Eastgate House of Prayer hosts a weekly prayer service meeting in the Oasis at Petra Church every Tuesday night. We provide a format of the service each Tuesday of the month. Where we gather to worship, pray, and intercede for our region. See the follow format based on each Tuesday of the month.
First Tuesday – Worship with the Word
Second Tuesday – Equipping & Intercession
Third Tuesday – Devotional Worship
Fourth Tuesday – Equipping & Intercession
Fifth Tuesday – Equipping & Intercession
Equipping nights follow this format:
7:00-7:30 pm—Live worship
7:30-8:30 pm—Equipping & Teaching
8:30-9:00 pm—Intercession (Harp & Bowl style)
Intercession sets are usually energetic, as the room is invited to engage in corporate prayer. There is generally a specific prayer focus, and individuals in the room are welcome to pray on the microphone for the corporate prayer target, which may involve Lancaster County, our region or believers worldwide. Sometimes there are cycles of “rapid fire” prayer when intercessors go to the microphone to pray a succession of 15-second prayers on a specific theme, as well as times of small group prayer for any who wish to participate.
Worship with the Word
This is a prayer format in which we agree with God’s heart as we sing the biblical truths of who God is and what His promises to do. Worship with the Word can be thought of as a “singing seminary.” We grow in true revelation and intimacy with Jesus as we pray and sing His Word back to His heart. We want to grow deeper in our understanding of God as revealed through Scripture and develop and ability to express this revelation.
These times of worship create an anointed atmosphere for meditating on Scripture and lingering in God’s presence. As we behold the beauty of God, He stirs in our hearts and releases truth and revelation.
